Bring your unwanted cotton pillowcase, sheet, or tablecloth and get ready to tear it to shreds. I’ll teach you how to make yarn out of fabric, and we’ll go over the basics of knitting.

Where: Van Aken Market District, in the Raider Space (inside, near the steps up to Brassica)

How to turn cotton fabric into a ball of “yarn”
Knitting basics: how to cast on, how to do a knit stitch & purl stitch, how to bind off, how to sew side seams
What You’ll Receive:
12 mm knitting needles
Small scissors
Knitting pattern for the Scrappy Carryall (printed and digital)
Sewing pattern for the lining (printed and digital)
A video going over the entire pattern so you can continue learning after the workshop
